Celebration of House of Cinema nominees announced

The 19th celebration of House of Cinema announces the nominees of various sections.

Organizers of the House of Cinema, which reviews the best in Iranian movies released locally in the past year, named the final nominees.

BEtween them, Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning blockbuster ‘The Salesman’ and Narges Abyar’s ‘Breath’ recieved 10 nominees.

Reza Mirakarimi’s ‘Daughter’, Mahammad Hossein Mahdavian’s ‘Midday Adventure’ and ‘Lantouri’ directed by Reza Dormishian are among the other nominees.

House of Cinema first started to work as the Iranian Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds in 1989, when members of the board of directors appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the time were put in charge of the establishment of this guild body.

Tehran will host the awarding ceremony on the National Day of Cinema, September 12, 2017.
